0% market adjustment and an annual 2% cost of living increase,
This was what UW proposed during Research Scientist bargaining last week. As a reminder, UW’s own salary study says that they pay RSEs 30% below market. This insulting proposal followed months of delay tactics from UW; they have talked openly about our contract having “no end in sight.”

Strike Authorization Vote
We are holding a Strike Authorization Vote to send a clear message to UW Admin that RSEs are united in needing:

  • A living wage
  • A fair, multi-faceted agreement
  • An end in sight to bargaining; the delay tactics need to stop

Please vote today, your time is running out
There are only 3 days left to vote in the RSE Strike Authorization Vote. Voting Yes gives us the opportunity to collectively demonstrate to UW that their delays, bad faith bargaining, and insultingly low compensation proposals are not acceptable.

It’s a busy time, but your vote is critical: please take a second to vote Yes today.

Also, we wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day. Here is our valentine for UW.
