Bargaining Survey
Hundreds of researchers have already completed the Bargaining Survey to share what is most important to them for us to address when we bargain our first contract. If you haven’t taken it yet, there’s still time for you to weigh in! So far, survey respondents have identified the following as the top priorities for us to address:

  • Guarantee annual pay increases
  • Maintain flexibility around work hours
  • Raise salary minimums for each job title

Do you agree? Are there other issues that you’d like to see addressed? Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey and help ensure that our first contract is representative of the needs of all researchers. All survey responses are confidential.

ICYMI: Job Duties Attestation
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to submit this brief Attestation about your job duties. This information is critical for speeding up the process of becoming certified as a union, due to the University’s assertion that hundreds of RSEs are supervisors or managers who should not be included in our bargaining unit. You can read more about this issue here.

Save the Date! April 7, 2022 Town Hall (4:00 p.m.)
March 20, 2022 marks 90 days since our petition to form a union was filed. For our next monthly meeting we will have an open Town Hall to discuss the status of our campaign, what is slowing the process, and how we can get to bargaining as quickly as possible. More details will be forthcoming—please mark your calendar for this important event!

Thank you!

In solidarity,
The UW Researchers United Organizing Committee
