Yesterday’s email provided an overview about compensation; there are two other major issues still on the bargaining table, both pertaining to equity.

Our employer, the University of Washington, is fighting to deny Research Scientists and Engineers:
1) a childcare fund
2) access to the harassment prevention training program, EPIC

Below is Rebecca Bluett, a Postdoc in Biochemistry and a former trainer with the Empowering Prevention & Inclusive Communities (EPIC) Program sharing about the program UW is trying to prevent us from accessing.

We need support from each of us in order to win access to the EPIC training program and a childcare fund. Help fight for these by attending our Massive May Action, RSVP here!

Who: Research Scientists and Engineers, Postdocs, and community supporters
What: Decide whether each unit strikes and when
When: May 25th at noon
Where: Drumheller Fountain

Again, RSVP here and make sure your colleagues are planning to be there as well.
